Gradient Overlay With Desired Width/Height

Ever thought that MS Paint is almost powerful as Photoshop? Yes, you are right! MS Paint can do almost anything like Photoshop. Can you believe it? Well, in this tutorial, I will teach you how to do a gradient overlay.

My desired width and height is 1024 x 768.

#1: Open your MS paint. Start >> Accessories >> Paint

#2: Hit Ctrl + E. The Attributes Options will pop up. Set your width to 100 and height to 500. Make sure pixels and colors are checked.

#3: Draw a line across using your first chosen colour. Then use the bucket tool to colour the top-right part of your rectangle with your 1st colour. Then the bottom-left part with your second colour.

#4: Hit Ctrl + W on your keyboard. The Skecth and Skew Options will pop up. Set the Horizontal Sketch to 1 while the rest remain the same.

#5: You will see this small tiny thin gradient already. Hit Ctrl + W in your keyboard. Set the Horizontal Sketch to 500.

#6: You will see bigger gradient. Do that another 4 times. If you think 1-3 times is enough for your width, go ahead.

#8: For the width, you will already see your desired width result. But for the height, you will see white empty space below.

#9: Use the "Pick Colour" tool and click on your bottom second colour.

#10: Use the Bucket tool and click on the white empty space. You're done!

Hmm, you might think it is simple for background with only 1 colour and no picture. But what if there are multi-colour and picture? Ever wondered how to? Well, wonder no more cos in this tutorial, you will learn how!

Example:
I am doing a button request. I want the text to be in the middle. But then, I aligned it wrongly!

So here's how:
#1: Do not click anything once you've finished typing, NOTHING AT ALL.

#2: Extend your image and textbox just like in the picture below.

#3: Push the right border of your text box to the center until you're satisfied with it.

#4: Hit Ctrl + E on your keyboards and they will show you your current height and width. Then change the width (and height if you extend them) to your actual width/height.

And you're done! :D
